You're asking me, will my love grow? I don't know. [18 Jul 2008|11:24pm]

[lovefamedeath]

The greatest song I've ever heard is "A Rat's Nest" by Thom Yorke. When I listen to it I like to imagine that I'm eighty years old, alone in church, because everyone I know is dead. And I'm contemplating life, you know how we all sometimes do, and I come to the realization for the first time in my eighty years of life, that all of live is just a rat's nest. It is just a pile of random bits that combine to make us into who and what we are.

I could listen to this song and watch this video every day until I reach that point in my life. And after too.

Another song I could listen to endlessly is "Something" by the Beatles. Ever since I was young, I listen to that song to contemplate my day, put meaningless daily events in their place, question why they seem like such a big deal now when really my biggest problem in life is that I spend too much money of cigarettes. But I digress.

What are some of your favorite songs? I want to make a CD of songs that make people contemplate the big/little/whatever things in life.

YOUTUBE! Help! [18 Jul 2008|02:38pm]

I need some major help.

My entire youtube account has been disabled.

I spent hours uploading 28 videos from the Rocklahoma Music Festival on Tuesday.
Most were of me and my friends backstage, in the car, etc.

A few were short clips of the performers  (there are 1000s of clips of the show on youtube).  .... apparently someone from Metal Method Productions Inc. flagged the 2 videos I had up of Lita Ford as copyright infringement.

The videos were under 2 min in length, the quality was poor, and honestly they showcased me and my friends singing along from the side of the stage more then her performance.

However, I completely understand it is the performers right to claim copyright infringement.

Lita hasn't performed since 1993.  Youtube didnt exist back then. She's probably just not used to videos on the web, mere days after she performs.

But now.. my entire account has been shut down.  80+ videos.  GONE!

All my acting demos, hosting demos, plays, short films, and interviews.
My horrorfest video with 50,000+ views on it!

I've spent so much time creating my youtube page, and the links to those videos are embeded on myspace as well as other sites, and now all of my linked videos are disabled.

I send casting directors and potential employees to youtube all the time.

Im having trouble getting a human being on the phone, and my email correspondence keeps receiving automated form letter type replies. Basically stating that I have been cited multiple times for copyright and my account has been terminated.

It's not like I'm a child posting other people's work on a daily basis.  I am a working actress, using youtube to help market my career.

I apologize for overstepping Lita Ford's copyrights, and will never, ever do anything even remotely considered copyright again.

Please... anyone, work for Youtube?

I need a major favor here.

Help!

Going to a concert this Sunday, starts at 7pm, but will be there around 6 to picnic. Any suggestions for the best way to handle parking? Use the lots? Try to use Park & Ride? I don't use public transportation, so any info on Park & Ride would be helpful. Thanks! Oh I live right near Culver City.

Does anyone know of stores that carry Special Effects or Manic Panic hair dye in the West LA area? All I could think of is Hot Topic, but they don't have it anymore.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.

Batman totally did not disappoint yesterday night.  If you guys haven't seen it yet, you should go pronto! Ledger's performance of the joker was amazing as expected, but  where the hell did Aaron Eckhart come from?! Surprisingly enough, this movie wasn't completely centered around Batman more than it was centered around the crimes of the villains. Touche Dark Night writers, touche.

Tickets for sale: At The Gates "Suicide Final Tour" in Pomona [18 Jul 2008|09:03am]

los_angeles

[urbanemonkey]
I have three tickets for the At The Gates "Suicide Final Tour" show in Pomona on July 26th. (Glasshouse; general admission; doors at 6pm; Some stuff has come up and I can't go.

The face value on the tickets is $35 each (and I paid Ticketmaster fees), but I am selling all three tickets for $90. That's $30 each for tickets that cost $45 ($35 face value + $10 ticketmaster fees). Not a bad deal.

We can make an arrangement for drop off or pick up of the tickets. Cash only, please. (I'll be out and about tomorrow, Saturday, and could easily deliver them.)

Staples Center [18 Jul 2008|05:14am]

Hey all!

I'm not familiar with the Staples Center seats. I'm trying to get tickets to the Walking With Dinosaurs show and Ticketmaster is trying to sell me Section:PR8 seats and Level 100 seating I haven't been to a sports arena for a show in a long time so I really don't know if those are decent seats.

Or should I just go to the actual box office? If so, where is parking for that? Right next to the Center?

Sorry if I made no sense, I haven't slept yet :)

THanks!

Recommendations? Hair and Chinese Food. [18 Jul 2008|01:02am]

los_angeles

[amelialourdes]
Two things. I haven't lived in the Glendale area for long so I haven't really had a chance to explore. But, even if I did, I wouldn't know where to begin! That said ...

1. My hair is outrageously long and I have no idea what to do with it. Can anyone recommend a great hair place around here that would help me out with suggestions and give me a good cut?

2. I realized that I haven't had Chinese food in a long time and I am craving good fried rice and other food. I'm not really big on the chain Panda Express which I've been seeing all over the place so, recommendations for Chinese food restaurants?

Thanks in advance for the help! If I have to go outside Glendale (Hollywood, Burbank) that's fine too but I do prefer staying in Glendale.
